To best understand the musculoskeletal system, an understanding of the influence the central nervous system plays in sensorimotor control is essential. How the brain interprets both its own body as well as the environment around its body is through a complex processing which results in a number of modifiable maps. Novel clinical applications may be applied with patients with an improved understanding of how brain maps are created. Following this presentation, practitioners should expect to see improved clinical results with their patients.
