The thoracic duct may be considered as a ‘river of life’ in the human body. It’s importance cannot be underestimated and yet with a width of only 5mm, it is difficult, if not almost impossible, to evaluate.
In Applied Kinesiology, both the subclavian (right) and thoracic (left) ducts are mentioned during discussion of the ‘Retrograde Lymphatic’ procedure together with pectoralis minor stretch. The hypothesis that this technique and these muscles might be associated to the lymphatic ducts is interesting, but real truth is not there. This lecture will propose a new challenge and associated muscle test to this most important of lymphatic structures.
